A completely rural route: the trail begins to right of via Solferino, on the Regione Fenarina, immediately after house number 61. The paved section of the first 200 metres is a sharp climb. After this, proceed with the walled perimeter of Villa Salada to your left. Twice, the trail intersects and crosses a private, tarmac road.
The path, which rises in a gentle slope, narrows for approximately 200 metres, reaching the edges of a picturesque thicket made up of wild hazelnut trees, oak trees and the odd chestnut tree.
The ticket encloses and towers above a cobbled square, which is also on a gentle slope (this time steeper than before).
After a few small hairpin bends, at the end of the cobbled square, a small clay road intersects the route, right by the ruins of the San Bernardo church.
If you keep going left, you will soon get to the tarmac road, which you need to cross to arrive at the start of the Nature Trail
Fitness Trail
The Nature Trail (Fitness Trail) enters an undergrowth made up of Mediterranean scrub, oak and pine trees atop Poggio Brea, in front of the ruins of the San Bernardo Church. The trail has also been set up for physical activity: there are 15 sites, which have basic exercise equipment and benches. The route of the nature trail is basically a circle: from the top of Poggio Brea, the path changes direction and turns back on itself, with a route which leads back to the start. From the fitness trail at Poggio Brea, another path branches off, which goes over the ridge and allows quick access to the Laigueglia area (Poggio Balaie and Mount Marchiano), the small, inhabited hamlet of Colla Micheri (on the tarmac-surfaced road) and Capo Mele (back on the trail).
